Hanmer Pool Closure

Hanmer Pool, Hanmer Springs

From Tuesday 28 April, our active pool and hydroslides will be closed for maintenance.
The freshwater lap pool and lazy river will remain open, as will the SuperBowl. And as the SuperBowl will be the only slide available, slide passes will be reduced to $5 per person while the two hydroslides remain closed.
We apologise for any inconvenience - we expect to have everything up and running again by Friday 22 May.

Menagerie South - Concert


141 Percival Street, Rangiora

Menagerie South - South Island based musicians Tessa Petersen and John Van Buskirk with clarinetist Mark Walton, will play in the Chamber Gallery, Rangiora Library, Saturday 2nd May 2015 at 7.30 pm.

Programme: Lilburn, Sibelius, C.Marshall, Niels Gade, Nielsen, Marc Echyenne. Tickets $30 students $10 from Rangiora Library Ph:03 311 8901. This concert is presented by the Waimakariri Community Arts Council in association with Chamber Music New Zealand.

Kaiapoi Art Expo 2015

Kaiapoi Art Expo - Celebrating 10 Years will be held 10 - 12 July 2015 at the Kaiapoi Club and will feature artwork from guests artists - Raymond Herber, Andrew Carran and Philip Trusttum as well as many other artists.
The Expo displays a wide range of art disciplines by local art groups and individual artists, all under one roof, over two days.
On display will be a varied array of artistic interpretations of life in our community through the skills of painters, potters, weavers, jewellers and sculptors. Whether the medium is clay, metal, paper, canvas or fabric the result will be sure to fascinate anyone interested in the expression of art in its many forms.
Alongside the Expo is the Schools Art Expo sponsored by Bowden Environmental featuring a dazzling display of paintings and drawings from Waimakariri schools.
Join the Kaiapoi Art Expo in celebrating 10 years at this supportive, social and inspirational event, celebrating the local arts in our community.
